• I’m having great fun with CFDB and cfdb-table, especially considering how little I understand about how it all works, but I’ve run into two things I’d like but can’t seem to find information about. They may be new feature requests.

The cfdb-table in question is hidden behind a password at present, but it’s intended to allow viewing of an uploaded musical score PDF while listening to the uploaded MP3 of it. If needed I can make a public test page with a one row cfdb-table.

    1. Is there a way to make clicking on a .pdf entry in a cfdb-table open up the PDF in a new browser window? That would be more convenient and potentially less confusing for users than bringing up the page with the cfdb-table in two separate browser windows for PDF viewing and MP3 listening.

    2. Is there a way to make clicking on a .mp3 entry play it with the (currently recommended) WordPress media player? (I get the dreaded QuickTime window with a question mark, but that is probably because my hardware limits me to an old version of Safari. Most users have not had that problem, but it occurs to me the WP media player might be more forgiving since I can use it on MP3’s in the media library.)

I take it there is still no way to get Contact Form 7 to deposit files in the media library, or to transfer files from the CF database to the media library. I ask just in case.

    Thanks!
    Jeff
