Just wondering if it would be possible (via javascript, for example) to allow a viewer to select whether they want a thumbnail to link to a slideshow or a lightbox.
I have viewers who email and say they like linking to the lightbox much better, others want thumbnails to link to a slideshow where they can enter comments etc. So I was wondering if I could write a bit of code to allow the user to make that choice.

No this is not possible as the code is generated in php and is too complicated to redo it in javascript.

The easyest way to get the best of two worlds is linking to slideshow, and linking the slideshow images to lightbox: Table VI-8a. Is also only 2 clicks.

Ok. I didn’t really think it would work. I have some clients (a committee of them, really) – some of whom think going through the slideshow to the lightbox is too complex. When I link the thumbs directly to the lightbox, then others are upset that they can no longer comment directly… argh!! ….not your fault.
    Thanks for all your work!!
