View more posts on "next page"

Hi I am using the Starkers theme and I am having a problem when using the search box to search for some of my posts.

Sometimes when I search, the number of posts displayed are too many to fit on the end of the search page. Rather than displaying a link that says “Next Page” I am presented with a link that says “Older Posts” and when clicked upon it displays the older posts in full rather than taking me to a “Second Page” of results with links.

How do I make it so that I have a link that will take me to a second page of results?

Any help would be appreciated.
