    Hello,

I’ve noticed that the view counts on my website (www.awayfromlife.com) are different to the view counts of Google Analytics cause Autoptimize.

Is there any oppurtunity to get the right view count with using Autoptimize?

    best wishes, Simon

    Hallo,

    Vielen Dank!

    Evening Simon;
    Some questions:
    * What plugin are you using for you view counts?
    * do you have no views according to those view counts, or significantly (50%) less then GA or a bit less then GA?
    * do you see any errors in your browser console when visiting your site without being logged in?

    kind regards,
    frank

    Hey Frank,

    – I’m not using a plugin for the view counts. It’s a feature of my theme
    – the view counts in GA is about double as much as my website show at the moment
    – No I’m not see errors when I’m logged out

    Best wishes,

    Simon

OK, had a look and you’ll probably have to exclude ajax.min.js (which contains a.o. the counter logic) and as that file relies on jquery, so you might have to exclude that as well.

    hope this helps,

Have a look at the FAQ for general info on how to troubleshoot.

Specifically; on AO’s settings-page make sure advanced options are visible and then you’ll see a field to exclude things from JS optimization where you can add “ajax.min.js” (without the quotes) to the comma-seperated list. look at your browser error console to see if you need to add “jquery.js” as well.
