view can not be found

    I have just gone live with a new WordPress site. When we were in development, we had created a page with a masonry layout to display the testimonials.

    As soon as we went live, the page vanished. It now shows that it can’t find the page. I’ve regenerated the view. I’ve trashed the page and made a new one. I’m baffled.

    During the process of going live, we moved the site from a sub-directory to the root. We also changed the PHP version to 7.0.

    The testimonials are displayed as a slideshow in other places on the site and they seem to work fine. It is just this one page that everything is disappearing on.

    What have I missed? Sometimes when I preview the page, I can see it. But I can’t get it visible on the front end.

    Try resetting permalinks by going to Settings > Permalinks and simply clicking Save Changes.

    That was a really good idea, Chris! Sadly…it didn’t fix it. I’m baffled.

    That appears to a post category archive page but normally those have “/category” before the category slug.

    Try renaming the page or the category so they are unique.
