I hope I am posting in the right forum.

I have a customer who wants to produce some simple videos with voice over. He has asked me to answer some questions:
    1) What is the best video format to run on WP.
    2) What software would you recommend, bearing in mind that he has a limited budget and doesn’t need all the bells and whistles.
    3) What are the relative advantages/disadvantages of embedding the videos vs. bringing them in from another site such as YouTube.

I know I am asking a lot, and I don’t expect a thesis. If you could point in the right direction to answer these questions, I would be grateful.

  • I always recommend using youtube, and adding privacy if it’s needed. Youtube was made for it, and it’s really easy to upload and manage videos. It will be faster streaming from their servers instead of putting the load on yours.

    1- use Youtube

    2- try Jing

3 – Youtube takes care of the video format that way no one has to install anything. They take care of the bandwith + you can gain traction from their traffic.

I tell all my clients to use either youtube or Vimeo at all times.
