Videos for courses : private or unlisted?

    I am adding videos to courses that are ‘Private’ on Vimeo to courses. On the Vimeo setting (paid account), I have specified my domain only. When I log in as student, to test the course, the video displays “Private, Log in to watch (if you have permission).”

    Can you please recommend the proper way to add videos to TutorLMS so that only registered students can view them and that videos are not copyable?

    I have tried combination of things from private to unlisted and a direct video link from Vimeo to using the embed code.

    The only setting that works is an Unlisted video using the embed code.

    I am using TutorLMS, Elementor, Tutor LMS Elementor Addons

    Presently the link of any vimeo only work for public video if you want to use unlisted or private video then you have to use the embed code option.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

    I tested both options in a lesson :

    A) Private video, embedded.
    There is a message that displays Private video, log in to watch. (student is already logged in. Log in to Vimeo? That would not make any sense.)

    B) Unlisted video, embedded
    works just fine

    For the sake of creating a paid course with TutorLMS, am I supposed to go with the “unlisted” option? Does this assure that my videos are only seen as a student and cannot be downloaded?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Hello there.

    I’m experiencing the same problem. Student are logged in but still appears a message on the vimeo video saying that he has to connect to watch.

    Is there any answer about that ?

    Hello @nickynick & @resilienceweb,

    Private videos can’t be watched outside vimeo platform. Unlisted videos can’t be downloaded by Tutor LMS students if you select Tutor player from Tutor settings > design tab.
