    Hi,

I noticed that in-course videos that were uploaded to YouTube now can be downloaded by course participants. Before, this was not possible (you could not right click the video), and that is how it should be.

How come? Is this a Tutor issue or a YouTube issue/ What is the solution? Vimeo is not a good alternative because it is not secure or less secure than YouTube.

  • Hello @schaareman,

If you are using latest version of Tutor LMS then you need to enable Tutor player from Tutor settings > design tab. Make sure your YouTube videos are set as unlisted.

I have the latest TUTOR LMS PRO version, Tutor player for YouTube is enabled, the videos uploaded to YT are set as unlisted. A week or ten days ago it was still ok, it was not possible to right click, now it is.

    Hello@schaareman,

Which theme is active now? You can switch to a default WP theme or any of our LMS themes to further troubleshoot. You can also write to support at themeum dot com if you would like us to take a closer look. We are not allowed to offer support for pro plugin features in here based on WP support guidelines.

    Hello Munayam,

I now use GeneratePress theme. I like that. With it I can again use Elementor and the error message when visiting the site is not there anymore. As for the issue of being able to download course videos, I think that was a false alarm from my side. I noticed that I now could right click in a video and save as. I have now looked closer, and save as means save as webpage complete, not save the video. I tried that out, save as webpage complete. Then I opened the saved web page and it appears that I cannot even play the video, let alone download it. So for now all is fine I think. Do you have any comments here?

    Cheers, Danker
