• Hey,

I’m having a problem on 1 theme, it isn’t displaying the videos from youtube.

I can view the videos and a thumbnail also shows up when using another theme so I’m not sure what is wrong on the name.
On the theme that isn’t working there is a thumbnail on the homepage and category page displaying the info for the video, but its not on the page that should show the embedded video.

The theme with the problem is live – https://www.PrankShark.com – Can anyone see a problem on the page / source?

When I add a new post and include a YouTube link in the post, it does work, but none of my previous videos are showing.

    Thanks for any help

As that is a commercial theme, we ask that you please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the reply.

This is happening on other free themes also, not just this one theme.

    Thanks

What you’re seeing is that the theme is configured to show the excerpt before the Read More button, and the excerpt is text-only.

The number you’re referring to is probably a count of the remaining words in the post.

This is not a bug, it’s behavior set by the theme’s designer, and you will need to contact them to change that.
