I uploaded a large (480 MB) MP4 video to the Uploads Folder using File Manager in GoDaddy. The file successfully uploaded. However, it is not available to me (I can’t find it) in my Media Library in my WordPress dashboard.

How do I gain access to it? I want to be able to play the video on my website using a Video Player Plugin.

    Any help is appreciated!

you may be able to add it to the library using the “add from server” plugin.

Thanks. I investigated that but my PHP version is too old and I’m not sure if it’s possible to upgrade it through GoDaddy. Any other thoughts? In theory is my method correct or am I missing some technical aspect?

You can upgrade PHP on GD; contact GD tech support or google the right technique.
