Video thumbnails with link to post

  • Hello there,
    i’d like to know if is possible to make video thumbanils not playing in home page but linked to post.

    Instance
    My home page is based on twenty fourteen theme and it shows a grid of newest post. You can reach it at https://www.missionmarketing.it.
    Now if you click any video it start playing directly into that grid but i want users reach the post page before seeing it. For this i need some tricks to overlay the player within an image link to the related post or whatever.

    Is it possibile? How?

    It is not a feature atm, planned for a future release.

    That feature is exactly what I need too. Is this “future release” planned anytime soon by chance? Or if not is there a workaround for the time being?
