Video Subtitles not working

  • Hi,

    I installed WordPress on a IIS server, everything works fine, all modules and all. Just a weird thing, for video blocks, if i use any subtitles, it won’t show, tried .VTT format, .SRT format, nothing works, tried with other plugins, same problem. Video works fine, controls are fine, everything works, but the subtitles wont.

    The button displays correctly, and it allows me even to click on it, but the subtitles just won’t show, i searched everywhere to find a solution, but apparently i am the first one to have this problem.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I had to select subtitles from the kebab menu in the lower right to turn them on. Does that display for you?

    the button shows, but not the subtitles, i have even added multiple of them, multiple labels/languages . in the menu, they appear as normal, but when i select them, and play the video, they don’t show at all.

    Even weirder, i tried same version of wordpress on siteground, and on 000webhost, and it works as intended. seems like there is some hidden option.
