Video Splash Image

    Hi Ulrich,

    I am having to cut video images to the exact size of the video so that on initial load there isn’t any part of the player not covered by the splash image. So far this has worked well on desktops; however on mobile devices, and I am guessing because of the player being responsive, there are often times where the splash image does NOT cover the entire player.

    Is there a way to resolve this?

    The image should be responsive too. The only thing you need to look is that the aspect ratio is the same. Do you have a link to a page that I can look at?

    I got your message, it seems the issue is with zencoder creating the incorrect screenshot sizes compared to the video ratio.

    Have you tried Flowplayer Dive? Once you have uploaded the videos have been uploaded an encoded you can easily fetch them from within the WordPress admin area when create a video post.

    Hi Ulrich,

    Thanks for having a look. Zencoder is just more affordable for me since I already have it for many other projects. I’ll continue checking to see how I can fine tune the thumbnail creation.
