Video Playlist gap between video and playlist

I use the native media playlist on my site: add media/create media playlist/etc. which has worked great for the last 5 or so years since I developed my site.

Yesterday I removed a paragraph break above the media player (between the line of body text and the media player) and there is now a large gap between the bottom of the video and the playlist. This break appears on every page where I have a video playlist.

Looking in the Inspector in Firefox I see there is a <p> <noscript>…</noscript> line but I have no idea to what it is referring or how to delete it.

I had WP Fastest cache installed, deleted the cache and then deleted the plugin – gap is still there.

I restored a version from 2 weeks ago but that gap is still there.

Reinstalled WP 5.1, gap is still there.

Please can somebody help me! I have spent many hours on this and am going crazy with frustration!
