Video on home page not showing on mobile

  • Hi – just recently installed the theme and decided to use a promo video on my front page instead of the image slider. Problem is that it doesnt show on any mobile devices. I have an iphone and and ipad mini and it doesnt show up.
    I have tried embedding the video from youtube as well as uploading into my media gallery, but neither shows on mobile. Can someone help me? Is there a setting I am missing?

    You are probably using an .flv (Flash) file. Flash files don’t show up on Apple devices like iPad and iPhone. Use mpg4 or html5.

    Hi – its a .mp4 file. Not flash. I had this same video running fine on my other site built in HTML. I embedded the file from Youtube on the other site, and it ran fine all the devices.
