    Using this shortcode:

    [video_lightbox_youtube video_id=XwUhieQOzFc width=640 height=480 auto_thumb=1]

the thumbnail is shown with the ‘play’ icon underneath it, not superimposed.

And clicking on the thumbnail opens the Youtube site, not a popup.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, this might be related to your theme. I carried out a test in my dev site using your shortcode and the play button appears in the centre of the thumbnail.

Can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Twenty? If this does not help, maybe there is a conflict with one of your other plugins. Please carry out a plugin conflict test.

Also, please add double quotes to each parameter as per the example below.

    [video_lightbox_youtube video_id="XwUhieQOzFc" width="640" height="480" auto_thumb="1"]

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards.

I’ve made the edit as requested to include double quotes. No impact.

Changing the theme does not help.

I have tested with all other plugins deactivated. Still broken.

Should add: WordPress 6.3.2, PHP 8.1.24

And nothing showing in the error log.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce your issue. I have tested your shortcode with two different themes and using both Gutenberg and Classic editor. My dev site is also running WordPress 6.3.2 and PHP 8.2.4.

I can say that for some unknown reason the thumbnail parameter auto_thumb=”1″ is not working in your end.

    Kind regards.
