Video not displaying

  • I am having a problem with posts. I am using bootstrap 3.1.1 theme and I have a post page that has very simple code. If there are images in the post, they render properly but if I use a video it renders video shortcode as a string. If you navigate to the url itself the video shows. I have noticed that whenever I put in any shortcode in the admin area, it does not render, yet in my files using do_shortcode…. it executes properly. As for the video, I just insert the video from media- no short code used. I have been searching for an answer for 2 days so if anyone can help that would be awesome!
