Video mailed from iPhone or Mac results in [gallery] tag

    Hi there,

    I’ve been working with Postie for the past couple of hours. Got the lightbox to work on multiple images mailed in one message.

    However, when I mail a video from the iPhone (or from the Mac) the result is a [gallery] tag inside the post.

    I tried with the template “Simple Link” as well as the “Medium” and “Medium widescreen”

    I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, but I’m not clever enough to figure it out.

    This is a bug I’m working on. If you have the gallery turned on for images it inserts the short code for any attachment.

    Hey thank you!!!

    That was a quick update and yes, it works now.

    It would be cool if there was a way to distinguish between the dreaded vertical videos and the regular landscape videos. My workaround for the time being is to just include a link to the file alongside the preview… I understand that this is more of a QuickTime Player problem than a postie issue.

    Yes, videos don’t work as well as images. I’ll make a note to do some video size auto detecting.
