How do I make the very top a video header / banner? Similar to the website at “short media group”. I see that they are cycling a YouTube video.

I imagine I would use or replace “Big Title Section”. I am currently using the free version of Hestia.

    Thank you!

    Hi @calimer,

I am afraid that would require some custom coding to the theme’s files, which we usually do not provide. But you can read more about that here: https://howto-wordpress-tips.com/video-header-wordpress-tutorial/

However, having a video for the Big Title Section is an option of Hestia PRO: You can read more about this at the following documentation: https://docs.themeisle.com/article/921-big-title-background-options-in-hestia-pro

I hope this was helpful. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Thank you so much @danamv !!! I’ll test this out tomorrow. Hestia pro does sound really awesome too. It’s great to have options. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out!

@danamv I got the video to display and sometimes it autoplays and sometimes it doesn’t. Any idea what could be happening?

And wow does Hestia look amazing when the video works!

Thanks for the link to the pro features! I have another site to do after this and hestia might be my go to.

@danamv I ended up just downloading the youtube version of the video and putting that on the site and it plays every time. However there is an ugly grey area that shows up on PC. I have to remove the header from the “big title section” or it replaces the video.

I’d love to have the video actually take up that grey area, especially where the menu is possible.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi @calimer,

I am happy that you have managed to solve this problem!

I have checked your site, but I don’t see any grey area, can you please provide us with a screenshot pointing out the issue?

    Thank you!

@danamv I ended up using .body background-color to fill in the grey area with black. If possible I’d really love to have the video take up that top menu area instead of the black. Is there any way to do that?

Here are screenshots of the grey area:

    Thanks so much!

    Hi @calimer,

Can you please tell us which browser are you using? I have checked on Firefox – PC, but I think that the video already takes up that area. https://prnt.sc/10neocc
I also checked on my phone, and there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong https://prnt.sc/10new8p

I kindly recommend you clear the cache of the browser and see if it solves the issue.

Please let us know this works.
