Video embed

  • I am embedding a YouTube link into each day of the week but it is only showing the text of the link, not the video on the live page. It does show the video in the editor. This is on a test site so I don’t have the link to the page.

    Indeed you are correct. I get exactly the same thing. I need to investigate that, see how I can fix it. The HTML <a href part is being stripped and only the text is being sent from the shortcode.

    So I had a look, and it seemed the link tool in the classic editor seemed to be hit and miss whether it passed the URL to the actual link. Once the link appeared in the editor it does seem to stick. I’ve added links to the Saturday and Sunday days on my website. https://broadcastwidgets.com/dayofweek/

    Are you embedding a shortcode inside another shortcode?
