Video does not play to end in IE

  • In Internet Explorer the videos cut off about 30 seconds from the end using the Flash Video Player Plugin for WordPress. Of course they play to the end on a Mac. Haven’t gotten to a machine to check on IE 6 yet.

    I am using WP 2.3.3. and the plug ins Flash Video Player 2.0, Add links as pages .5, Dagon Design Form Mailer 5.4, and Lightbox 2 0.7.

    I am using the theme New York, New York v 1.1. It does not appear to be a theme problem as it stills cuts off using a different theme.

    I figured it would be lightbox, but it still cuts off even with that deactivated.

    I have the options set at the defaults. Should I change these at all for this issue? This happens on both a cable modem and dsl.

    Any ideas?

    if anyone from the plug in had actually replied to anything on their site, I would have thought about doing that also.

    It’s most likely the file you’re trying to embed in the player. I have seen this happen with swf files primarily — there is probably a conflict between the swf file and the swf player. If you can link directly to the flv file, you may have better results. Additionally, if you’re having trouble with an flv, make sure it has the proper metadata and that you can play it through to the end in another player.
