Video autoplay only working on the first slide (and not always)

I’m trying to add videoslides which also start automatically when you go to the next slide, but that doesn’t work. Or rather, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t, I can’t find a pattern.

This is how the videos are implemented:
[video autoplay="on" loop="on" mp4="/path/to/video.mp4"][/video]

If there is only one video and it is on the first slide, it seems to work more often than not, but that could be a coincidence as well… Can I somehow link the next button with a videoid.play(); trigger?
