• I was looking for a way to create very fast websites with only free plugins and themes. Gutenberg editor with Essential blocks could be the way. Even in the free version it has a ton of blocks and features, introducing responsive settings which is great. It’s working similarly to Elementor. So, with the fast theme, Gutenberg, and this plugin I was able to achieve 100 performance scores in Google Insights without problems.

There is still room for imporvement of course.

    1. I noticed then when using number counter blocks ,I am not able to change H tags of numbers etc. It would be useful to have it, or just don’t add the H tags as default.
    2. Add lazy load option for background images.
    3. Trying to avoid using of jQuery as much as possible.

    Hi @fkoomek

Thank you for sharing your experience and insights. It’s great to hear that you’ve achieved excellent performance scores using the Gutenberg editor with Essential blocks. Your approach of relying on free plugins is commendable.

Regarding the areas for improvement that you mentioned, we truly appreciate your feedback:

    1. Customizable H tags for number counter blocks: Noted! We understand the importance of flexibility in heading tags, and we’ll explore options to make this feature available or consider removing the default H tags.
    2. Lazy load option for background images: This is a valuable suggestion. Implementing lazy loading for background images can significantly improve page loading times, and we’ll definitely consider adding this feature to enhance user experience.
    3. Minimizing jQuery usage: We completely understand the importance of reducing dependencies on jQuery to optimize website performance. We’ll strive to minimize its usage wherever possible.

Your feedback is valuable to us, and we are committed to improving continuously. We appreciate your support, and if you have any more suggestions or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
    Thanks again!
