• When I started using this extension it was simple and to the point on the transition where chrome started to flag sites without a proper SSL configuration, from that on this was part of my tool belt.

Now, with all the security features cluttered in this extension it is become clear that the developers want you to subscribe to the pro version. That is normal, but what bothers me and I don’t agree is the scare tactics used in the language or in the warnings. My clients really believed that their sites where having dangerous issues and it was only a few settings or warnings that are already covered with WP Shield or WordFence.

For example, why when uninstalling, you offer the option to go back to http in red? is a dark pattern, an UX technique to push the user do an action through fear.

The thing is, this extension is only to force SSL into the site (with a few other things), but now you can achieve this by assigning the site URL with a https://

Any proper hosting provider will handle the SSL and help you out adding the right htaccess rules.

In the last 3 months I got errors 500 in many of the sites where this extension was installed, different hosting providers, different sites configurations.

    Do not recommend.
