    I am having an issue on my site where only on a mobile device, if you go to any post on my page with AMP enabled DIRECTLY (by manually inserting the URL), you can scroll down the page and up the page.

    However, if you do a Google search and click on a AMP link, you can scroll down the page, but any attempt to scroll UP automatically sends a reader to the top of the page.

    Thus, something is happening when Google comes to by site and takes a AMP enabled post in to their cache that is causing this.

    To see this in action, go directly to https://ccountync.com/category/carteret-county-news-nc/ on a mobile device and you can scroll up and down.

    However, if you Google search “Carteret County News local reports” and find my site’s (ccountync.com) page AMP for that same news page, you can scroll down but not up without being taken to the top of the page.

  • I’ve tested some URLs on your site using Chromes Dev Tools and my mobile although I’m unable to reproduce the same issue, see here.

    Have you tested on different devices, while trying to clear your browsers cache?

    @jamesosborne Yes sir

    Just tried on my cell phone, my daughters, and my brothers.

    If I go directly a URL by typing it in, everything is fine. But if I do a Google search against articles I wrote and click on the AMP link in the search results, all three devices had the scroll up issue.

    Thanks for the update. I’ve been unable to recreate the same issue after testing differing devices. While the issue doesn’t seem specific to the AMP plugin the following could be contributing factors:

    • Conflicts or configurations with your themes back to top button
    • Third party plugin conflicts

    I’m happy to assist you in creating a GitHub issue on the AMP project repository if we can troubleshoot this a bit further. Before doing so can you confirm the same issue from both an Android and IOS device and share your Site Health information here or privately?

    As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you require any further assistance.
