• My site has become very slow, it’s unbearable for me to even use in it’s current state.

Not only the front end of the site but also the admin panel. I have to wait several seconds for each page to load. Is it my hosting company (GoDaddy?) or is it something with the website?

    Someone please help!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

You can use w3 total cache plugin. you are using timthumb.php with no cache support. use audit feature to audit your page

OK thank you I will try these recommendations. Pankaj, I already added W3 Total Cache and that didnt help much…

I can see W3 Total Cache is not properly configured by going through your webpage source. please read tutorial to configure.

It is inactive right now, would that do it? Or would this not be the reason it is showing up not configured?

if you properly configure html source only show one js and css file. I can see all js and css from unite theme. go to minify setting and configure.

OK I think I have this setup properly now and it seems to be running a little smoother. I am going to reactivate each plugin one by one now

if you reactivate plugin you need to configure again ??

OK this is ok, maybe a good thing since I wasnt sure what I was doing the first time. If you dont mind confirming for me: under Js or css file management, you select your theme and then click ‘add script’. When I do this, I am just adding the .js scripts that load in each particular template?

This has gotten worse again, I just went to deactivate the W3 Cache plugin, went to the bathroom and came back… still waiting….

Rough analysis of your site. this can be fixed with w3c plugin if properly configured.

@jmf421 Godaddy is having some big issues right now. They are dealing with a DDos attack I think. Anyway I gave up working on a site hosted with them now. Hopefully they will have it fixed soon.

All plugins are deactivated and I am still having very slow load times. I understand that W3 total Cache helps for this stuff but something else seems to be wrong. Can anyone else figure this out? I appreciate anyones help as I need to find a solution ASAP! ??
