  • wow — same issue here… I guess I’m going to deactivate until there’s a new update.

Same problem for me also with the free version, very slow on long posts e.g. 8000 words. Turning off Yoast SEO removes the issue. Perhaps it relates to the real-time analysing added in the latest update.

We’re experiencing the same thing at our agencies. Working with XL-length posts has become impossible.

Is it possible to disable loading the real time content analysis engine with a mu-plugins filter? It’s highly likely this can be the culprit and we could test it.

https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/3448 is the bug tracking on this and has a successful workaround.

Empty the “focus keyword” field while editing your post.

The problem is reproducible with or without the focus keyword, it’s impossible to write ??

Since updating to 3.0.4 last night night, the response of the editor has become extremely slow. Sometimes 7 seconds will pass between typing and the character appearing on the screen.

    Hello,

This is exactly the same for me but with version 3.0.3

Does anybody know if this is fixed in 3.0.6?

I tested 3.0.6 and it still had a problem with the delay when editing. Makes it virtually unusable for now.

I’m still using 2.3.5 and hope they will find a fix soon (I prefer not to run outdated plugins).

i have no problem with 3.0.6

I have the same problem with 3.0.6 !! The response of the editor has become extremely slow.

People, if you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

I’ve had this problem for a while, and it made a significant impact to my ability to work.

If Yoast needs to troubleshoot, it only happened on 1 of 10 sites I have Yoast on. I have no idea why it was just an issue with this one.

I’m trying the rollback plugin idea too, but even with 3.03 version installed it’s still a little bit laggy, versus when I disable it completely and it’s amazingly responsive.

Is there any disadvantage to just deactivating Yoast while working in the site, and then turning it back on?

Regardless, I’m just happy to finally have an answer.

Yes, I tried this and it screws up the urls of posts and categories. It may be an isolated issue but be careful.

Someone does he find a solution to this problem of slowness?
