Really love your plug-in, it’s exactly what I need for our customer service department to enter in phone, emailed or faxed-in orders.

I’m having trouble with very large quantity orders taking forever to calculate though. For example, I have an order I’m trying to create from an emailed PO with 9 separate items, each with quantities ranging from 90 – 250 and varying prices up to $180, which are also all custom.

It seems the more items; larger quantities and totals, that are entered the slower and slower it becomes, often getting to the point where the green circle never stops spinning, even when left overnight.

The WordPress memory usage never exceeds 70MB out of 512MB. I’ve asked my hosting provider about server resources and they tell me it isn’t out of hand at all.

The only error logs I find on the server are:

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

hi

Do you use any pricing plugins ?

Have you tried to turn “Autocalculation” off (>Settings>Common) ?

thanks, Alex

Hi Alex,

I have tried turning off the auto calculation which helps a little for smaller orders however, the problem persists after the ‘cart’ numbers get too large.

The only price-related plugin I’m using is:
Login to See Add to Cart and Prices in WooCommerce (A simple plugin useful to disable add to cart buttons and hide prices for not registered users and invites them to register to your store.)

hi

Do you have same problem if you visit your website( as guest)
and add same products ( and same quantities!) to the cart ?

You can contact me via helpdesk too, I’ll provide beta for tests .

thanks, Alex

I just checked again and no, it does not take as long to calculate the prices and quantities by putting together the same order from the regular customer cart. It’s not instant but the time it takes is acceptable as its a 655 piece order.

However, using the regular customer cart does not allow me to enter custom prices for each item like you plugin does. Perhaps therein lies the problem?

I’ll open a ticket via your helpdesk now. Thanks Alex!

We didn’t find exact reason for this problem (user decided to code custom solution).

But disabling shipping methods increased speed.
The shipping plugins recalculate rates rather slow.

If you have same problem – turn “Autocalculation” off (>Settings>Common).
