Very Odd – 2 pages showing in post stream

    Hi All,

    I hope some one can help me out with this odd situation I have found myself in.

    I’m working on a friends website and fixing issues.
    His site is https://i-dive-dahab.com/news-posts/

    I looked in his Blog and noticed some posts don’t have images so started setting the Feature Images.

    This is when I found the odd thing. If you scroll down and find two posts “Recreational Sidemount Diving” and “Learn to Dive”

    You will see from the URL that they are not Posts. They are Pages.

    I have no idea how these two pages ended up inside the Blog.

    I have no odd plugins that put pages there. I have no odd code to do this. I have not done anything special to these to pages.

    Does any one have any ideas What has happened? Or shall I just remove them and start new pages?

    I wouldn’t mind if the feather image would show but its braking the look of the blog.

    I’m running Jupiter Theme. I am also noticing the site is very slow if any one has any ideas on how to speed that up as well I would greatly appreciate the advice.

  • It sounds to me as if the Jupiter theme allows the front page to show pages as well as posts. You’ll need to check in the theme settings and/or check with the theme’s support… https://themeforest.net/item/jupiter-multipurpose-responsive-theme/5177775/support

    As for the speed, here’s the order I’d look at it..

    1) A good, fast host
    2) A good, fast host
    3) .htaccess changes to add serve caching, compression, etc
    4) Plugins that will combine and compress content – e.g. the site is very image heavy so use something such as WP Smush It to keep the size to a minimum
    5) A caching plugin

    Iv looked on the theme help and its not something that shows up.

    Iv gone though all of the theme settings and the two pages and there is nothing saying something like Act Like Post or something that would mean it will show.

    I think it is a glitch.

    I will rebuild the pages and see if they show up again.

    If they do it must be some sort of setting

    With Regards to speed I have done all of the above I was looking for something even more ??

    I think it is a glitch the German side does not show this error It must just be a glitch in the theme.

    No big deal at the moment. Just pages don’t show feature images in the News feed.

    But I can live with it
