Very low Queries/Sec

  • Hi.
    I’m running a windows 2008 r2 VPS server with mySQL installed.
    Benchmark results were
    Your System
    CPU Speed: 15,119 BogoWips
    Network Transfer Speed: 6.63 Mbps
    Database Queries per Second: 72 Queries/Sec
    (“industry standard” is: 1,320 Queries/Sec)
    It seems really low and I don’t even know how to start dealing with it.
    Currently my wordpress site is in testing, so no incoming traffic except me.

    Any help appreciated!

    For future reference,
    I solved the issue (now scoring around 1000 Queries/Sec) by tuning mySQL setting to recommended values for wordpress.
    Search the web for “wordpress recommended mySQL settings”
