I’m sorry to hear you are so disappointed with this plugin. This plugin doesn’t rely on jQuery UI at all and the design is kept minimal intentionally. It allows the user to add whatever styling they’d like using their theme’s CSS stylesheet. It also does supports anchored links if you’d like to use those.

Is there a particular effect you’d like to achieve? I might be able to help you.
