Very large taxonomies

  • I have a hierarchical taxonomy of over 26k. When I use a dropdown and “Populate with a Taxonomy” it just crashes wordpress. I can’t edit the form any more…

    I am able to use an input and the jquery selectize to allow the user to add taxonomies via ajax…

    But, how can I know what post I am editing so I can pre-populate that field.

    And finally, how can I link it so it saves the new values?
