Not sure if anyone noticed this, but I had a custom field and one of the meta fields in the meta box was named “Content” (and thusly the slug was “content”). Well I noticed this was overwriting and preventing me from being able to actually fill out the content area of the custom post type I had created! Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but figured I’d point it out.

    Hi Gabe,

    Yes you’re right. It’s a bug.

Since the WP post page is basically a big form, when you post submit it will try to submit the form with all it’s fields, including the ones WCK created.

Since one of you metabox fields was called Content, the submit process will try and submit that instead of the actual Content form.

I’ve added it in our but tracked and we’ll see what we can do to stop this from happening in the future.

    Thanks for letting us know!

We released an update that prevents you from creating fields with the name content or action, so that it prevents conflicts with the existing WordPress fields.
