Very High MySQL Calls to tmp Directory

  • Hello,

    I am having an issue with my current installation of WordPress MU (3.1) causing an EXTREMELY high query calls to the tmp place within the database. It is so high that is consistently crashing my host.

    I am having trouble pinpointing the issue. I’ve tried shutting down many of the plugins, then doing a check and its still occurring.

    I am wondering if someone has seen this before or they could suggest certain lines of code, files, etc to check for this.

  • So look in that install (it’s multisite) for blogs 7 and 12. what are they running?

    2 Multisites with about 13 sites per, plus 115 SEPARATE single sites. So … 145 wordpress sites. On the same box?

    I’d be inclined to move up to Dedicated, personally. Not that you CANNOT do this on a VPS, but there would need to be some serious server optimization. You may also need to look into DB caching.

    And what have you got in the mu-plugins folder?
