• The spin wheel and popup functionality has been an effective lead generator, and super-easy to set-up. You can get something nice up and running in very little time. Considering there’s no coding involved, you can make these look pretty good using the tools provided and the interface is intuitive. Plus it’s really easy to integrate with other platforms — I’m using Mailchimp for this particular project and it works seamlessly.

    My only wish is that I could pass a tag with the lead to Mailchimp… that way I could automate the mail-back in Mailchimp based on the inclusion of the tag. (I know Mailchimp’s API doesn’t make it so easy.) So as it is now, I can only work by passing the campaign name of the Optimonk “campaign”, and automating from that. Since a more complex marketing campaign can involve several different lead gen tactics (this being just one of them), I wish I could use my “global” campaign name and pass a tag instead to indicate the user’s engagement with the Optimonk tools vs. my other tactics.

    Oh well, I’m still giving it 5 stars. ??
