Very happy seeing the plugin active

  • Hello Rodrigo Primo,

    I have been a a great fan of Social connect and switched to Miled’s WordPress Social Login when Thenbrent announced the discontinuation of development for Social Connect.

    However, I am still using Social Connect on my Multisite installation to avail the Google connect which works site wide where as Miled’s WSL doesn’t works site wide.

    When did you take over the Development? In the month of February-2014 Social connect ‘s plugin page is still in the hands of Thenbrent.

    And now I am very happy seeing the plugin with very active development and it’s being regain the fans. Very … very happy.

    Can you takeover the development of Hybrid auth too? The author of declared the discontinuation of Hybrid-auth Library development.

    Anyhow, thanks for bringing back this plugin.

    Hi vbk100,

    I’m glad to hear that you use this plugin.

    I started maintaining Social Connect in January and Brent transfered it to me in February.

    Unfortunately I don’t have time to maintain Hybridauth as well. Too bad that the author declared the discontinuation of this library. I was planning to refactor Social Connect to use it.

    Are you implying that we can use Social Connect integrating Hybridauth to add more networks?

    Yes, that is the plan. But I don’t know if or when I will have time to do that.
