Very good but when the GA4 compatibility will be available.

  • Very good plugin.
    In October 2020, Google launched GA4 the new Google Analytics with Artificial Intelligence included ! But this official plugin, for now, still only manage the old one : Google Universal Analytics.
    my question is simple why GA4 is still not supported in April 2021 ? And when it will be supported ?

    In relation to Google Analytics 4 great question. We plan to have full integration soon. With many complexities involved we’ve been working hard to ensure thorough integration and you can subscribe to this issue to ensure you’re notified once it’s available.

    Note that you can also implement a GA4 property alongside a Universal Type property. Doing so can ensure you can avail of the Site Kit Analytics dashboards (via your Universal Type Property) alongside your GA4 property snippet. We’ve added documentation to the plugins website in relation to this.

    Thanks James for your sharp and quick answer. In fact I did it using site kit for GA-UA and Jetpack for GA4 and it works very well ! I see in my GA account in both prroperty the DATA.
    The issue is when you are doing this you load 2 javascripts, one for GA universal and one for GA4, so thre is an impact in loading each page and by consequence in your Google SEO ranking :-)))))
    But I am very happy and excited that the Google team is working on GA4 integration !!! Do you have an idea on when it will be available ?

    While I can’t put a definitive timeframe on it I expect it will very soon. You’ll find various GA4 related issues being worked on by visiting the plugins GitHub repository.

    I’ll also check for an approximate date with the team and get back to you here.

    Hello James, I saw your update on the plugin, I updated it on my website. He still not include GA4 support, isn’t it ?

    When i try to set it and connect it to my property, it allow only GA Universal.

    We need to wait for GA4 integration ?

    We’re working hard on full GA4 integration and expect to have this ready late next month!
