• Installed the plugin and had to sign up to an account with Beeketing before being able to do anything and this included connecting my website with theirs – I now have to check no backdoor access has been left after deleting the plugin.

First option I wanted to check was the cross sell and upsell option – the first on the list. Clicked on the button and immediately Beeketing wanted to charge me $30 a month.

I deactivated and deleted the plugin without going any further.

I don’t mind paid for plugins being in the repository but WordPress should require these plugins to be clearly marked.

    Hi Kevin Heath (@ypraise),

Firstly, we would like to thank you for sending us your feedback,

We truly understand your concerns about possibilities of backdoor access, but please be assured that our team doesn’t, and won’t collect and/or access your data without your consent.

Regarding the charge, kindly let me explain that as we listed in our Free Trial & Pricing section, the plugin per se is free, but some features/apps might only available as paid version, such as the cross-sell and up-sell feature. These paid features might be quite useful for medium-sized stores, but not budget-friendly for new and small ones. We understand your uncertainties here, and one of our support agent has reached out to you via [email protected]* with an offer that you might be interested in. Please check our email sent via [email protected], and drop us a reply of your thoughts so we may reach an option that work out for you?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
