    We approached Paypal Payments as soon as we found out that we needed reference transactions for our SAAS business based on WooCommerce. Since then it has been awful (version 1.6.2) with many blocking bugs and as we write, we still not able to implement the plugin because it does not support free trials.

    We have been promised that it will be add to future releases (TBD), although we still waiting at least since November ’21 for an essential subscription’s feature to be covered. We where expecting more from an official (or semi-official since the plugin is handled by Inpsyde) WooCommerce plugin, after all the overall rating speaks for itself.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for providing feedback.

    We regret hearing your expectations were not met with the new integration.
    Update 1.7.0 has just been released and cleared the way for free trials and more subscription-related functionality to be implemented, so this feature is expected to be available with the next 1.7.1 update.
    In any case, if any questions up feel free to reach out anytime:

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    Hi @niklasinpsyde,
    just checked the 1.7.1 update and it seems that free trials’ support is still missing. Is it correct?

    Hi @pixdata2,

    If all goes to plan, free trials will be added in the next update 1.8.0 later this month.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

    We updated your plugin to the 1.8.0 version and now another error occurs:
    with all the funding sources disabled we get the following error in the JS console

    GET https://www.paypal.com/sdk/js?client-id=AasQ4upH-ffUUcGK-nMOJGa917XCxHUYn-yzF_0gtTwLQcSVdxcCARSbuzDDs9nuFtu7gJBpNeLvs_Op&currency=EUR&integration-date=2022-04-13&components=buttons&vault=true&commit=true&intent=authorize&buyer-country=IT&disable-funding=Credit%20or%20debit%20cards,Pay%20Later,SEPA-Lastschrift,Bancontact,BLIK,eps,giropay,iDEAL,Mercado%20Pago,MyBank,Przelewy24,Sofort,Venmo net::ERR_ABORTED 400

    We’ve tried to enable all the funding sources but the error remains, causing the payment button not to load.
    I’ve tried to navigate manually to the requested URL and I get the following message from the SDK

    throw new Error("SDK Validation error: 'Invalid query value for disable-funding: Credit or debit cards,Pay Later,SEPA-Lastschrift,Bancontact,BLIK,eps,giropay,iDEAL,Mercado Pago,MyBank,Przelewy24,Sofort,Venmo'" );

    /* Original Error:

    Invalid query value for disable-funding: Credit or debit cards,Pay Later,SEPA-Lastschrift,Bancontact,BLIK,eps,giropay,iDEAL,Mercado Pago,MyBank,Przelewy24,Sofort,Venmo (debug id: f62361381c09e)

    */

    Removing the

    &disable-funding=Credit%20or%20debit%20cards,Pay%20Later,SEPA-Lastschrift,Bancontact,BLIK,eps,giropay,iDEAL,Mercado%20Pago,MyBank,Przelewy24,Sofort,Venmo

    query part from the URL the SDK returns the intended script.

    How should we proceed?

    Hi @niklasinpsyde it has been a week since our latest reply, could you please let us know?

    Hi @pixdata2,

    For questions or issues, I suggest opening a thread in the support forums as the review section is not actively monitored (and also not meant) for support questions.
    You can also open a private support ticket with us from here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
    We encourage everyone to leave feedback about their experience with the integration regardless of whether it was a good or bad one. But like everyone else, we must adhere to the forum guidelines and keep reviews separated from support as the forum moderation may remove them otherwise. We are happy to help out from the designated section though. Thank you!

    In any case, this issue has been recorded here on GitHub with a linked workaround and a test package.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
