• The average webmaster isn′t going to understand what blocks are or what they do. The editor is very complex, webmasters shouldn′t have to take a week off to read the manual of a text editor. You can easily destroy your site by mistake and there isn′t any AMP options that I can see, but it is so confusing that maybe there is, who knows.

The problem are all the little options this editor has, most people, we just want to edit text, we don′t want to draw butterflies or control the colouring of the full stop on the third line. There should be a simple and advanced mode.

Thanks for the review and testing of the new editor. Your request for AMP options is interesting. How would you like to see that in Gutenberg?

I have already a plugin called AMP for WP that adds itself to the editor and allows you to preview and edit the AMP post, it would be good to have the AMP preview by default in the editor without having to use an additional plugin.

I now realise that the reason why Gutenberg looked so complex to me is because I have plugins that have added extra stuff to the editor and I wrongly assumed it was all a default Gutenberg set up, after I deactivated a few things it does not look as full of options, so I will change the rating as it was my mistake.Sorry.

Yes I use AMP for WP too… I think you’re asking for Gutenberg to fulfill the functions of the AMP for WP plugin as a part of its own function – ? If so, is that even possible? – I somehow doubt it.

‘Just to say that Gutenberg and AMP for WP are playing along nicely together on my site AFAIK.
