VERY complicated to set up and throws JS error on clicking manage preferences

I now have an hour into what was supposed to be a simple GDPR/Cookie acceptance task. I went through all the steps but first their documentation does not exactly match their actual website. Upon finally finding where to customize the text, I see that it does not actually appear anywere. There is no popup. There should be a shortcode to display the popup but I could not find it, and a search in their documentaiton for the shortcode yields no results. Oh, and on the little floating icon that does appear, when the user clicks on “manage preferences”, it does NOTHING, instead showing a series of JavaScript errors in the JS console. Terrible experience, move on and use something else!!
