Very basic but works great

The free version may not have lots of bells & whistles, but it does perfectly what I need, which is to give me a way to manage downloadable items, easily add a download link (using shortcodes) to anywhere on my site, and track the download count for each item. Very lightweight, clean interface, easy to understand and use without the need for documentation, but it’s well documented if you need that.

The premium version offers lots of bells & whistles if you need them, but if your needs are simple then this plugin will work great for you.
