• It is a very basic guestbook. Easy to implement.
    – I miss a “thank you” page. After submitting a message in the guestbook, you only see an empty form.
    – What about spam prevention? No captcha available.
    – I would prefer a guestbook in which guests can not submit a website.
    – I would prefer an option to only enable flat text. No HTML tags and attributes.

Due to the usage of the wordpress integrated comments you can use any anti-spam plugin also with Comment Guestbook.

The “thank you” page is a good idea, I will have a look at this in one of the next version.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I will add an anti-spam plugin.

    What about my other questions?

I prefer the Anti-spam plugin. It is very easy to use and the user don’t have to insert any captcha.

The other answers to your questions:

    – I would prefer a guestbook in which guests can not submit a website:
Do you mean that you have to be logged in to post a guestbook entry? If so an option is available for that in WordPress. Goto Settings -> Discussion -> “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”. Due to the usage of the wordpress integrated comments this option is also valid for the guestbook.

    – I would prefer an option to only enable flat text. No HTML tags and attributes:
I didn’t found a wordpress option for that. I also had a quick look if I can find an existing plugin for that, but I didn’t found one so far. Perhaps you can have a more detailed look.

I hope that helps and I would be happy if you can give me one more star.

This is not what I mean.
When a guest writes in the guestbook, he has to submit his e-mail address. But then he is asked to submit his website URL. That is something I don’t want.

I have not found it either, even after long search. Maybe somebody else knows how to solve this?

When the “thank you” page is in place, you will even get 5 stars!

This is not possible with my plugin yet, but I want to include options to modify the comment form in one of the next versions. Perhaps you can find another plugin which already can do that.

Thanks in advance, this is the next feature I will include. I think I can finish the new version within the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I have implemented a “thank you” message now. Please try it.
I probably will include some more option to modify the message in the next versions.

Rizzi-Guestbook is the plugin you want. It removes the URL website field.
