Very BAD Updated version

  • Very bad updated version. All forms stopped working with new updated version 5.1.1. Kindly check your updated version.

    Those websites owners whose contact forms have stopped working after this new update. Kindly follow these steps to recover old working form.

    Step 1: Click this link and scroll to the bottom and check the tab (Previous Versions) and choose the older version of contact form 7. I have downloaded version 5.0.5 and it has worked okay.

    Step 2: Delete the updated version of contact form 7 on your website plugin directory and replace it with the older version you have just downloaded.

    Check your contact forms again removing all cookies and old files. I hope it will work for you.

  • Yes I did that for interim. But I will definitely have to remove CF7 from all my sites. Which is annoying and a lot of work. Furthermore I still dont have a flexible replacement found yet. But CF7 lost all credibility with this move.

    @phalancs I’m also looking for a simple replacement that doesn’t cost me +$$ per year. Some of the other plugins out there are just insanely pricey.
    All I really need is to click together a few fields, I don’t need the plugin to do the layout or even style the input fields, just validate and send the damn form.
    So far I got no luck in finding a suitable replacement.
