Vertical gallery into an enlarged slideshow

    I’m thinking about adding a sort of gallery to my page with the images I have. I’d like to have thumbnails of the image, images in a row, 1 column, neatly under each other and when clicking on one of the images, the image itself becomes a slideshow, with more pictures under it.

    The slideshow I’m thinking of using would be the Nivo Slider jQuery plugin, any tutorial on how to install and use this?

    I’m not sure how this works as I’m new to WordPress. I can add images and get them in a row on my pages, but I don’t really know how to get them into a slideshow on the same page. Now the images just open in a new window.
