Vertical align not working

To me, the vertical align option has zero effect on the icons. I’m using rectangular shaped ones and trying to get 2 rows of 3 icons. So depending on screen used, it doesn’t look very good. Also, should be possible to make responsive aka : For computer, “justify to the width of the page” and on smaller screens, only show floating, for example. I see floating has some responsiveness options but standard doesn’t. Otherwise I like this plugin very much but it’s hard to keep if it works only on a specific device.
