Version notes on updates

Dear author,

When providing updates it would be very welcome if the button “view version xx notes” actually takes me to a page that describes what changes are made in the update. I have a child theme and I cannot figure out where to find these notes before updating.

The notes are displayed after the update only.

I would like to know what changes are made to what templates etc before updating.

Am I missing something?
