@chetnapatel I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

This is Bhavik (Contributor of Abandoned cart plugin). Chetna is my colleague.

Chetna asked one of our users to create the ticket on our ticketing system and provide the necessary information about their site within that email / ticket. She did not mean to ask any information on this forum.

We do not have the user’s email address on this forum, so we asked them to create the ticket for their issue. If we had an email address of the user then we would create the ticket for them. We do not want our user to do double work by creating the tickets on another platform.

Can you please let me know how do you anticipate to ask our users for their site’s necessary information on the forum?

It would be great if you can unblock my colleague Chetna (chetnapatel), so she can reply to our users for their issues.

    Regards,
    Bhavik Kiri

Side note totally not related to this topic.

Hi Bhavik, thank you for explaining. I’ll unblock but please add that account as a plugin contributor to your plugin.

You see, when someone asks for admin/ftp access it sets off alarms among the moderators. Asking for that access is just not permitted here.

Those alarms are twice as loud when the account does nor appear to have anything to do with the plugin. If you add that account to your plugin then this will be avoided, provided you don’t ask for ftp/admin access.

Thank you for unblocking me on the WordPress. Org forums page.

Now I will be more careful for asking the credentials of client’s site.

    Thanks,

As long as you do not make that request for FTP or admin access you will be fine.

About an hour ago before this post here, you did ask for that and again, I deleted it. Don’t make that request again, OK?
