Version 9.0 breaks everything

    Your new version 9.0 has very good improvements
    BUT
    The “Design changes for overall support functionality using your own design for support page.” breaks everything.

    The whole point of using a WordPress Plugin is to be integrated in your site.
    Your new GUI do just the reverse.I want my Customer to stay in my site (that is question of corporate image).

    I did applied the upgrade and had to restore my site to the last version.
    I will not be upgrading for now and wait to see if you restore an integrated GUI to WordPress. If not, I will not have the choice to change for an other Plugin as it is not recommended to stay with obsolete plugin.

    As for the new paid options, I would be glad to pay for them but not with the new GUI.
    Hope you find a way to make the new GUI an option (to be used or not).

    Again I like your Plugin but I am sorry to say that you are going to lose many of your 10,000 users that rated you 4.5 stars if your persist into that new GUI.

  • OK — so what do I do to update this new version?

    Right now, I have a wordpress page that just contains

    [wp_support_plus]

    in it.

    If I update to version 9, what do I have to do to make this work again?

    If I can EASILY get this working, I’ll upgrade and you can delete all my previous comments if that will make you feel better

    => First of all backup with the up draft plugin you have.

    => Now go to plugins page and update directly from there.

    => It is not just all, you’ll see warning at the top to click here to complete installation of support plus, click on that.

    => You’ll see confirmation window with all changes we made in this version. You must have to click on “Agree & Continue” button to upgrade.

    => Follow it step-by-step as like normal software installation screens.

    => Once completed, it will show default WPSP GUI. There is setting available to integrate in your theme in general settings for different roles if you want to integrate to the theme.

    => As you are paid customer, just follow How can I upgrade add-ons for WPSP 9.0.0 ? in our FAQ page here. You’ll get access to all add-ons.
