Version 8.6.1

Can you share a link to your site?

There was an issue with version 8.6 that lead to increased memory use on some sites, but that issue was fixed in 8.6.1.

Please see if completely deleting Jetpack from your site and re-installing makes any difference.

I already did that, I had to deactivate the plugin because it slowed down my site considerably.

What proceeds?

What do you recommend me?
My host provider recommended me to install a previous version….

Having major issues since updating jetpack today – updated this as the only plugin today due to worrying about the fix that allegedly had been fixed and now my site keeps going down with 500 error messages saying incorrect file permissions above 755 and apache directives are incorrect. i do wish people would test these things out 100% before deploying

@anodeoutlet , please send more details. Which file is throwing an error? Can you send a link to the site? And do you have any other helpful details in the logs?

@eibihp does your host have details on which file is causing the high load?

Meanwhile, does anybody has a recommendation for the high resource usage of this Jetpack version?

This is out of my siteground account – please note. When i deactivated the 8.6.1 version and then re-installed the 8.6 version, the website remained stable and I stopped receiving ‘your website is down’ notifications from jetpack.

We will just have to wait until the resource issue is solved in next update.

@eibihp, @anodeoutlet except for this thread I don’t know of any other reports of high resource use in 8.6.1. That means aside from what you’ve told us in this thread, we have no further information about this issue, making it hard to fix.

Please open a support ticket at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support, and include a link to your site, and our team there will be able to tell you what other information is needed to troubleshoot this.
